We have just gone through the firefox-4.0 Beta [Minefield] documents
and found these features to be most attractive and worthy in the
latest release :-

# CSS Transitions are partially supported.
# Full WebGL support is included but disabled by default at this time.
# Core Animation rendering model for plugins on Mac OS X. Plugins
which also support this rendering model can now draw faster and more
efficiently.
# Native support for the HD HTML5 WebM video format.
# An experimental Direct2D rendering backend is available on Windows,
turned off by default.
# Web developers can use Websockets for a low complexity, low latency,
bidirectional communications API.
# Web developers can update the URL field without reloading the page
using HTML History APIs.
# More responsive page rendering using lazy frame construction.
# Link history lookup is done asynchronously to provide better
responsiveness during pageload.
# CSS :visited selectors have been changed to block websites from
being able to check a user's browsing history.
# New HTML5 parser.
# Support for more HTML5 form controls.

One of the awesome feature in Minefield is Panorma http://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/serv/firefox4beta/grouptabs.webm where you can arrange your tabs.

The only drawback in firefox-4.0 what we have found is that some of the extensions are not working properly in this version.

So start testing Minefield at your end.

Throughout the weekend, we will be coding around problems related to
disaster risk
and response. RHoK has been working with subject matter experts from around the
globe to develop problem statements addressing global disaster risk
challenges. These
problem statements will be the hacking challenges thrown out to
developers assembled
in over a dozen locations across the globe for the RHoK hacking event. See those

At the end of the weekend, we'll invite you to share your RHoK

Today whenever we arrange any seminar or workshop on FOSS the first
question which strikes our mind is about the crowd. How many are going
to come ?? Arranging this workshop is worth?? The reason is that
eventhough today FOSS Community is not reachable to most of the
commons, the people who are already in this community only they get
the news regarding the events,meetups and most of them are not
interested to share that. FOSS events are the first step to enter
these communities, looking and listening hackers live creates an
enthusiasm and people become FOSS lovers like you and me. Could you
imagine for FOSS community only on IRC's and mailing groups without
any FOSS event?? To increase our reach we need a common Social Media.

So, from this september month iftytech labs introduced a non-profit
section that is a social media for the FOSS
